Interview

With CAIN

Hi Cain! Welcome to the Worka Tune Family! You have recently signed your record ‘Feelin’’ on our label, how does it feel?

It feels great! I am super happy to have found a perfect home for my new track and to be involved as an artist in such a professional record label.

You have been producing [great] music for some time already, but what drove you into the world of electronic music production in the first place?

As most producers these days I started out as a huge fan of electronic music. I grew up with with my parents listening to Axwell, Bob Sinclar and Goodwill. Being surrounded by house music from such an early age helped grow my appreciation for the art and peaked my interest in becoming a DJ… I started out DJing for about 2 years before I looked into production and making my own music, so now after 2 years of many hours in the studio, lots of late nights and many sacrifices I have started to produce a style and quality of music where I am happy with the end result.

How would you define the style of your music? Is there a particular DJ/producer you identity yourself to?

I would love to say I take a huge influence from the Axwell of 2006-09. It is these house vibes that made me want to be involved in the electronic music scene, but as time rolls on I am looking towards the new generation of house producers in Tom Staar, Tom Tyger and Corey James.

Under the management of ‘Frisson’, you have received some support and tips by big names. Could you tell us more about these heavyweights?

Thanks to Frisson and their tireless efforts I have been lucky enough to associate with some of the worlds best artist. I have had the chance to sit down with Tom Staar and Kryder and talk to artist like Tom Tyger, Corey James, CARTA and so many others. These people although being some of the nicest people I have ever talked to, are also amazingly knowledgable when it comes to music production. You never get used to the feeling of these amazing artist giving you feedback and advice on your tracks… Without the sometimes very harsh and criticizing feedback, I know that I would not have been able to progress in my music production as quickly in the last few years.

Last question, how do you see your musical future? Are there high expectations concerning your upcoming releases?

I hope to see my musical future blossom more and more as I am trying to release high quality music more often. The amount of music that I have stored away at the moment is incredible and the next few months will be massive for me and my progression in the music industry.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to reply to our questions!

You’re welcome, thanks very much for having me and thanks for being so professional with releasing ‘Feelin’.
